Sup everyone names Dominic and I live in NewOrleans, LA. I registered on here a long time ago and just haven't been on here in a long time so i thought I'd reintroduce myself. I've been in the 240 game for about 5-6 years now and still going strong. Progress on my car is coming along pretty well but had a major setback when a coil broke in half a few weeks ago. I've had 3 240's. i've had a hatch, and coupe and now I've upgraded and got myself into a kouki. I bought the kouki totalled and brought it back to life.

I'm bored so I thought I'd reintroduce myself.

wow, that is something...glad you got it back up

 

oh, how did the coilover break?

 

so i completely redid the front suspension besides the coils. i didn't have money for stance at the time so i ordered a new shock from megan and rebuilt that coilover. i rebuilt it back to specs but the top nut lock washer wasn't doing it's job and the top nut came loose. so i took the car out for a little drive since it's not my daily and on my way home i notice clunking coming from that particular coil. so i take it very slow all the way back to my house and just as i got half the car in the driveway the frontend just sunk and right then i knew what had happened. on the shock you have the shock housing, rod and pistin then it gets slimmer so you can boilt it down. thats where the weak point it and thats where it snaped.

so now i have stance gr+ pros on the way.

New Orleans, I heard those roads down there are oil pan nightmares!

 

they can be...but if you know where to drive and what neighborhoods to stay away from you oil pan wont get crushed nor will your car get jacked. haha

the roads take the worst toll on suspenstion and exhaust if you're slammed like me...and your frame of you're not carful
