Just got one
Just got one
Hey i just got a 1990 240, the guy i baught it from said it blew the head gasket and started spitting coolant out the tail pipe. Any one know what i need to do to start fixing this problem?
you need to take the head off and replace the gasket. but once the head is off it would be a good time to inspect the valves and replace them if needed or get a valve job if needed also. it would be good if you knew what caused the gasket to fail in the first place so you could have a better idea of what needs to be replaced.
Thanks for the welcome, I should have pics up soon, I believe the cause of the gasket blowing was the fact that it kept overheating...possably the thermostat. thanks for the info.
Im gonna stick with my KA. I heard its a stronger block than the aluminum sr... not sure but i dont feel like trying to source out an sr so if some one could point me in the directing of a good turbo for KA's i would be much appreciative.
ok, so new plan. anyone have the ka engine left over from there enigine swap? I just discovered that my engine is siezed and now im in search for a new engine. If you have one let me know and we can set sumthin up. Thanks
