My 240SX
My 240SX
I just picked up my very own 240SX. Its a 1990 w/ 128K on it. Not a bad deal for a 90. I'm in Canada and we just had our first big snowfall of the year. Right now the car has Summer Tires on it and i've got a line on some Winter Radials. My question is, is driving in the snow with this car a good idea? Will I damage the car in any way. Asside from hitting a ditch or another driver of course but I'm fairly causious especially in this car.
Thanks for the input.

Welcome to the forums
Well I've driven my car this year in the snow and it was ok, but tonight I was digging the car out from the storm we just got and I took it around the block. Well let me just say that I hate freezing rain because my car sucks in it so bad. It might be because I don't have the best tires in my rear too, but you said you have winter tires on so you should be doing alot better than I just did. Wish I could tell you more...

Thanks S13.
I'm just looking forward to my first summer with this car.
I'm sure I'll be putting at least 5 Grand in her by the end of the summer. Right now I don't have any Winter Tires but I know a guy about 45mins away that actually traded this car in for another one and then I baught it from the dealer. So hopefully I'll be able to arrange something with him to get the tires.

I pick her up on Thursday. She needed a new Steering Rack and a Strut. I just don't like the fact that I'll probably have to drive it home in the Snow for the first time. And towing is out of the question because it well over an hour away.

I had one spinout the second day I had the car but I learned from it. ITs actually really easy to regain control of a RWD as opposed to a FWD.
Overall really happy with the car. In fact I've already had friends and even some family come up to me and ask for first shot at it when I decide to sell it

lol, thats for damn sure. After a year with my 5th gen celica I drove the 240 like it was FWD, and figured with the LSD I was invinceable, learned pretty quick after turning left from a stop on wet concrete and I smacked front first into a curb not to accelerate out of the turn like that, heh. Still looking for a lip now because mine's missing a chunk out of it.
I couldn't imagine driving my 240 in the winter, I'd die. Thats why I picked up the crx, let it get all the crappy snow and the salt and rust, heh. Take that Honda.

Good idea. This will be my only winter with this car. I just got it and can't really afford to buy a winter car and store my 240. I'll pick up a POS car in the summer or fall for my winter driving next year.
Just got a chance to finally take some pictures of the car.
Here they are. Feel free to post comments and I'm looking at doing some work on it but not sure what to do. This is my first car if you have any ideas feel free to post them.
