Hi my name is Erick. I'm 17 and live in the great white north of Ottawa, Ontario. I purchased My first car back in Sept. off a 90 Year-old man who never drove the car in the winter. when i got her it had 89,000km but i've brought that up to 112,000km (roughly 70,000 miles). The only down side is that its an automatic which was a little dissapointing but w/e. Anyways i'm completely new to the world of 240's but hoping to learn alot from reading the threads on this forum. Its extremely hard to do upgrades on my car with a students part-time salary, as well as pay for gas and insurance. I think the first thing I do will get a window tint. Any suggestions as to what performance upgrades i should do? Thx alot here is a pic of my car....

Sounds like a plan, Erick! Welcome to the forums! Sniff around, see how you like it . . . .wait. . . .don't sniff yet . . .I just farted . . . . .
Okay . . . now, yeah . . .LOL . . .70k on a S13 is INSANE!!!! I know some of our veteran C240ers are gonna be a LITTLE jealous with that one . . .and you're car is VERY clean. Who cares if it's automatic, you can do a sex change later on, or you can leave it auto and just have a nice 240 that you cruise in.
I wouldn't worry about performance upgrades just yet, you're still very young, learn the car, get used to driving it around, you'll find that the vehicle's potential FAR supersedes your own. It tends to understeer quite severely at the limit, but as long as you find the limit in a safe and legal fashion (Say on MoSport) then you should be good.
But yes, other than that, have fun, be safe . . .and above all.
WELCOME TO CLUB 240!!!!

The owner (Mr. Nelson) was 90 years-old and never drove it in the winter or in the rain. He would cover it in the winter and put it away in his garage. The reason he sold it was because his arthritis wouldn't let him get in it anymore. I put it through its first canadian winter, the drifties in the snow were unbelievable with the RWD and all. Just gotta be careful cause I've been told the problem with 240's is that the bottom of the car gets rusted to s*it. I'm going to uni this fall and living in rez so maybe I'll put her in my parents garage for the winter and keep Mr. Nelson's legacy alive.
Why would you have a shop do it, it's very easy to do, hell, I helped an Army guy do it and it took us just over 4 hours, and that's with MY slow *** helping and his LAZY *** doing the grunt work, LOL!
Honestly, save yourself the money, take a weekend and do it in your drive way, it's pretty simple, even for the non-mechanical savvy like me! ^_^
