My new used 240 hatch PICS!!

Hey guys
i just picked up an 89 240sx with about 200k on the body and 100k on the second motor. the body is in really good shape, no rust to be seen. i was told that the motor runs fine but there is an electrical problem with it, everytime you go to start the car, all of the electronics go out. all for $802

i first though the battery was dead. i multimetered it and it was 12.35v with the key off.

i then tried to start it by jumping the posts on the starter. it sparked, but did not turn over. this resulted in the same issue as when you go to start the car, no power.

what else should i be looking for??

here are some pictures of it sitting next to my other project, the GTP.

i plan on making this car run, and just drive it untill the winter. i need to get used to driving a stick. im trying to sell the GTP, so all money from that goes to the s13. my end goal is to turn this car into a track car, but it can be drivin on the street.

also look for loose or disconnected grounds in the engine bay and near the ecu

i pulled the starter off today, its a reman unit.

i turned the key to the start position with the starter out, and the car didnt die. im going to autozone after work tomorrow, and hopefully the starter is the problem.

if not i have bigger issues.

FIXED!!! its alive!!

it runs pretty good too. turns out that the battery cable clamps were bad. i changed them and cleaned up all the connections with a wire wheel. started first try.
