New to 240s

New to 240s
Hello,
I was fortunate enough to (finally)
get a hold of 97 240sx SE but didn't realize that the car didnt have the same engine as the one I drove while I was in japan...I learned quick that it didnt have the turbo plus the car itself seems sluggish until it gets moving...
anyways, so I joined this site to learn and get some help from ppl about the 240s (more like car itself)
I guess I'm pretty new to automobiles so I'd really appreciate everyone's help~
are there any 'gatherings' in Los Angeles area??
btw, mines an automatic
want to change my transmission soon...
any recommendations of shops?
