new to 240's
new to 240's
my names dave and im thinking about buying a 89 240sx when i sell my dsm.im new to these cars but am currently looking at buying one with 170,000 miles on it 5 speed and i believe its a single cam.but it needs a head gasket with yours guys knowledge is it worth buying and still being able to make reliable without spending a fortune? any advice would help.
ls1 swap that friggen car. i had a lt1 T/A for a very short time (kinda like a super long test drive but thats another story) and there were days where i would leave the 240 in the driveway and rock the trans am instead. it handled like crap compared to the 240, but it was quick. V8 in a 240 will get you 300 horses real quick
i own a 95 trans am with 350whp which is eventually gonna be my race car but i want the 240 for a dd or just to drift around a little cuz they do handle nice. But i bought that 240 and it got a bad case of rod knock on the way home so know i gotta swap a new ka24 which im buying tomorow, anyone know anything to look for or pay attention to wen i swap it to save time?

so i got the motor and the timing chains kinda sloppy on it but everything else looked good know tomorow i start the swap im hoping everything goes smooth and i can get it done in like 2 days any pointers from any one?
so i got the motor pulled today and i was wondering what i can pull out without setting any codes? pulling it was easier than i thought only an hour and a half.also both clucth's are bad anyone know were to get one cheap
ummmm last i remember, you wont trip any codes but thats just me, anybody else know??? anddd as far as a clutch. junkyard? (advance, napa or autozone possibly) resurface the flywheel before you change clutches. good luck tho, hope everything goes good for ya!

Sounds like the reason for my purchase of a 240. I wish you luck on your build.
