Does it look reliable and worth the money? The guy said he just took it to texas and back with no problems but im not sure how many miles a nissan can take before giving out. Help please?

the price seems fair enough i also wouldn't worry about the miles. if it has been well maintained 170k is not that much. for the most part if upon start up there aren't any unusual noises and drives fine. then there shouldn't be a problem with car.

something i like to do when asked to look over a used car for a friend or family member is play a little game. i'll first do a visual inspection of the outside and underneath. check the muffler for abnormal soot build up and so fourth. i'll look for leaks and damage of course but i'll take longer than i normally would. if i find something, no matter how insignificant i'll point it out to whoever is planing on buying the car.

when i start the engine again i'll do another walk around; pretend to sniff the exhaust, listen to the engine and so on. i won't address the seller unless he says something first. at which point i'll simply say something like "really" or "ok" and then keep doing what i was doing. this makes some sellers uneasy when they are tiring to cover something and are then less likely to keep their story straight.

once a guy told me three different stories about the car in about the 10 minutes i spent looking at the car. so if done right you'll either know you're being lied to or the seller will tell you everything that is wrong with the car before you are done. i have come across some honest people who told me of all the defects ahead of time so there are some honest people left in the world.

That looks like a very clean car for Ohio. I live in cleveland and there are very few clean 240s up here.
