new 240sx owner

i'm new to this website and a new owner of a 1990 nissan 240sx.i want to say hi to all and tell ya'll how i come to own a 240. i seen it in auto magazine it said $350, needs engine. i went out there and the guy said it was $300, so i bought it and got it towed cheap.i plan on doing a sr20de swap. i heard that the ka transmission would fit the sr20de engine with a bellhousing. if this is true what bellhousing do i need? i'd appreciate your help.

The SR20DE would be the most pointless swap EVER. I think you might mean the SR20DET. If not, just get another KA and swap it in. You can get fresh KAs dirt cheap and pretty easily. If you do the SR20DET swap, they come with 5 speed transmissions. Just do some research man, and find out for sure what you want. Theres loads of information out there on all your options.

If i've said it once I've said it like 3 times, I respect the N/A just as much as the next guy. I'm just practical about it. It wouldn't be worth the effort to just put a SR20DE in there... unless you're super rich and super hard core N/A.

i'd have to disagree with your opening statement. one must not over look the novelty in possessing something that is non conventional. that in its self is all the more reason to have the sr20de

Okay, if you are an attention ***** get a SR20DE. If you care about your money and time don't.
