hey everyone...i am new here...my friend wants to sell me a 240sx 1993 i think for 500...with a blown engine....and i would want that to turn into a project car....i want to know if it'll be worth it if i drop a sr20det in there or maybe even the skyline engine...dont know the engine number...and do a s15 front end conversion...some good suspension....and how much would you guys think that would all cost...and do ya know any sites where i can look at the parts....anyone's input is welcomed...thanks

woohoo finally im the first to welcome someone well welcome to the site and all that good stuff but yea it would definantly be worth it i believe you can get the sr swap for around 2g's and im not sure bout the front clip but you can get that car lookin real good for about the same amount you would probly spend on a different stock car, and by the way would you happen to be in NC?

Yes it is worth it to drop in a SR or RB(skyline engine)As for cost...it matter on how far you really wanna go...all together(including the front conversion) it will cost you 9k-11k easily. Thats right, with all that you plan on doing expect to hit 10k. The S15 conversion alone costs 4-5 grand. take it. . and if nothing else drop a used ka24de engine in, as long as it's in decent shape. Or you can get ar Sr installed for 3500 or so,

what kind of power am i looking at if i get the rb engine? and will it be more expensive than the sr to upgrade?..and i read a thread earlier someone said if you get the rb and get good suspensions it'll equal out...because the rb is heavier...i was thinking tein ss(if they have it for this car)i am sorry, i am real new to this car so i really dont know any information on this car at all...sorry for the newbie stuff

There are different RBs..a RB20 will be cheaper then a SR. 215hp. RB25 will be more expensive than a SR, but has 250hp. Yes, the handling difference is not big at all. Rudeboy put a clip of someone drifting theyre S13 w/ a RB20 in it. real nice drifts.
