Hello all, the names Joel. I just bought a 89 240sx about a week ago and I love it. Its got some wierd brake noises going on and it just failed emissions when I tried to get it inspected (which was dumb). Im a mechanic by trade turned wrenches in the marines for 6 years on helos before moving on now I work on diesel trucks. So whatever I plan for my 240 I will try to do as much of it as I possibly can. Sadly it is an automatic and thats something that I want to change along with a powerplant swap. My goal is to have a street/strip daily driver. So off I go to readup on trans, motor, and bolt swap faqs.

Welcome to the forums. It is good to have someone with a background like yours in 240s. There are many guys that turn to shops and depend on mechanics. It is good to see people that can turn wrenches and hopefully troubleshoot electrical problems.

Thanks for the greetings. Im decent with wire troubleshooting, more often than not I get the job done. You should see the messes I have to un**** on some of my trucks...Just nasty!
