Talking New member from the Chi-town

I would like to say you all have a nice forum. I am about to aquire a 1990 240sx auto-> (not what i wanted needed manual). I used to own a 1994 Nissan Primera (G20). I live in Bolingbrook, IL; which is about 30-10 min from chicago (depends on how fast you drive). I got some questions regarding the 240. How hard is it to do a manual conversion and how much money? can you get any sr20 and use a s15 6-speed tranny? I got more but cant remember right now. The 240 is completly stock with hanging stock muffler and all. Thanks alot for any info you guys have and for having a great forum that ive seen so far.

Welcome to the forums.

Check out the "Drivetrain" section for some info on a manual conversion, there is several stuck threads at the top of it that have alot of info.

The S15 6-speed tranny will not just bolt on, not really worth it to try and make it work either IMO.

Also, as always, the search button at the top will help you to answer many questions.

Go with 5-speed 6 speed = $$$$ to get it right and $$$$ to fix if it breaks.

Also check out clubfr.net if you haven't yet it is for midwest fr lovers with a large base in the chicago area.
