new member - lots o' questions

Don't worry I will search for answers .

I just bought a 1995 s14 with 107k miles. It's stock with exception of wheel spacers, suspension upgrades (with adjustable stiffness).

The clutch feels like it's going to go soon. The stock exhaust has many holes in it.

I'm a 38 year old professional. I'm cash poor, but I can probably save $1000/ month to get this car a reliable 200-250 whp commuter. Maybe with s15 body parts.

I had a s13 with sr20. It was a sort of money pit. I chose a ****ty shop to do the work. Gt2871, fmic, megan coilovers, etc. Then exhaust gear spun off of cam and I sold it for parts.

Just thought id say hey.

I'm in market for 3"cat back now. An exhaust that would work with my ka, or if I plan to goto sr20 again.

need:
exhaust
paint
clutch
performance
stereo (I was in audio installation business for 10 years)
body parts(s15)

I'm an electrical engineer - about to become 'management consultant'. I have experience in installing radios in cars, teaching car stereo at installers institute (acoustics, electronics, fabrication, upholstery, etc.. etc..), then making cell phones, satellite transceivers, military smart radios, now cell tower beamforming antennas-- you know, the usual kinda stuff.

I'm not looking to make it a monster. just a reliable fast commuter.

I sold my 911 carrera4 recently to fix my high debt issues. I've had audi rs6, 350z, (newer)Holden GTOs, C32 AMG, ..... basically many many types of cars. I'm looking for performance figures in the 911 neighborhood.

So you sold all of those great cars and purchased . . . .a 240?

Okay . . .you know, most of us will still think you're cool without an "awesome background"

lol, "awesome background". i've had a 'buying problem' serious spending issues. i'm trying to tone it down and still be able to accelerate rapidly. nothing beats a light weight rwd car. the s14 is such a good looking car! this is my attempt to having no car pmt! no credit card bills. no one should envy $1400. mo car pmts.
