new memeber and possible new owner
My name is Kamal and I'm from Jackson, MS. I'm looking at buying a 90 240SX that has been sittin up for a while, it has 103,536 miles on it and the KA24E engine. To get the car in running state it needs a radiator, head gasket and battery as far as I know. But what I want to know is, is the conversion to 180SX somewhat easy if you have the complete front clip. After a little surfing I see that the costs for front clips usually vary from 1800 to 3000 in most cases. I was told that I could buy the car for 800 but I'm tryin to go for a little less since the car also needs paint badly and it also needs one tire what happened to the original is beyond me. But is it a cost effective thing to do if I just want something fun and turbo'ed to drive? After I purchased the car I'd be looking at maybe a month to a month and a half before I had the m.oney for a front clip. Any advice is appreciated
180sx conversion is simple on its own . . but the cost is going to be high.
you'll need a full front clip, rear quarter glass, and depending on the year . . . rear tails.
The labor behind a RHD conversion is also labor extensive.

I'm sorry, I didn't really explain what I wanted to to do well. I just want to swap the front clip, engine, and maybe RHD. wouldn't that cut down on the some of the work from the engine swap, as far as the harness goes? I don't really care about the quarter glass and tails since I'm not really interested in the show scene and full out JDM styling. I really just want the engine, I have my own ideas for the rest of the car since it needs paint anyway.
