noob in Germany!

just wanted to drop by and intro myself... i just picked up a euro spec 1990 240, or 200 over here in Germany. Love the car, and came by here to get some more knowledge about the car... i am a converted Honda man, got tired of the ff platform, and it takes too much money to get the power i want.

my car has the ca18det in it stock... so my first question would be, is it even worth is to swap to the sr20det. i know a little about the sr20 and even less about the ca18det.

in the end, i want a nice clean s13, with circa 250 to 300whp...

thanks guys, i look forward to chattin with ya'll.

Yeah, there's plenty out there about the CA. The turbocharger itself is a weak point. I would vote leave the CA. Anyways, welcome dude.

i know that this is a flameable question, but whats the difference? i mean, in Japan they are 180's, in Germany 200's and in America 240's... its just in a name right?

well...the Zenki 180sx was a CA18...i think in 1992 they switched to the SR20

the only real difference is that the later models had the better LSD, different front bumper, side skirts (typeX), and real bumper...and the much loved Kouki Tails...

but, yes, it is true...i am a 180SX junkie..why?? not sure...

*edit..there is more..just subtle stuff...and was kidding about hating the 240..i do kinda own one...

Well the number designtes the engine size. As you may know Nissan used different engines in the s chassis in different parts of the world at the same time. 180sx = 1.8 liter, 200sx = 2.0 liter, 240sx = 2.4 liter. When Nissan changed the engines on some of the models they didnt change the name of the car though.
