Noob questions, DON'T HATE

I come from a family who only drives 240s (3 total), but unfortunately i've never come upon a 240 club and now there's all this lingo that i don't know about.

1. What's a "ricer" and what is "rice?
2. i drive a 91 240 is it an S13, S14 or S15?
3. what's the diff between a KA and an SR?
4. What are the fog lights that fit the hole under the blinkers completely called?
5. Any other word i should know?

Welcome to the boards You could do a search on most of your questions, but I will help with what I can.
1. A ricer is an import car done up in genuine Autozone styling.
rice is a term for the fuel the ricers use.
2.Your 240 is an S13. 89-94 are S13. 95-98 are S14. 99 and up are S15 Silvias.
3.The KA is the USmotor for the 240 and no turbo. The SR is the Japanese motor in the 240 and turbocharged. This motor was never available in the U.S.
4.There are no foglights under the blinkers. The only 240 with foglights there are in Canada and are the day-time driving lights.
5.You will learn more as you see more on the forums

welcome to the boards. as all of ur questions were answered, i wanted to elaborate a little more on 'rice' and 'ricer'.

the origin of the words began as a semi-derogatory term for import vehicles (specifically Asian) and their owners/drivers. 'riceburner' was a title typically applied to those cars and sports bikes (of which are still referred to as such). however, the definitions were modified throughout time and now their usual meanings are something like the following:

rice - of or pertaining to vehicles which are modified either in poor taste overall, or to give the appearance of high performance with nothing (or hardly anything) to sustain it. this encompasses all makes/models of vehicles including Asian, European, Australian, domestics, etc.

ricer - a person who propagates, engages in, or is otherwise associated with rice. generally, the subject exhibits little or no knowledge of automechanics or motorsports, but tries to give the impression that he/she does. also, this type of person is typically attracted to auto modifications of an especially flashy and/or gaudy nature.

a very good resource for more info about this (as well as examples and some good ol' fashioned humor) is Bryan's Rice Boy Page.

Here are a few pictures that would help with a definition:

Not all cars are "riced out" in these posts, but there are many here trying to look fast without having anything to back it up. Some are just examples of how popular the "rims and fart can" package are where I live. Enjoy!

The only cars I have seen that look good with the GT-R wing are the R33 GTR Skyline and the FD RX-7 with Type 2 Touring aero kit [AKA A-Spec Kit].
When that type of spoiler is used, it needs to have the bottom ABSOLUTELY flush mounted, if not non-existant.
