What does the type S14 designation mean. I just bought a 96 240sx with a 2.4 twin cam and want to know more about the car.

s14 is the body type. the 95-96 is the zenki s14, 97-98 is the kouki s14. the zenki s14 front end and the tail lights are different from the kouki s14.

Thanks Reigh, I accually inherited the car from my father who was 87 years old. My first impression was "what was he doing with a car like this" I don't know much about nissans but this one really scoots and it's an automatic. 10 years old and near showroom condition with 31000 miles.

What can you tell me about aftermarket turbo chargers? I don't want to make a monster just zip it up some. Also, how do you make vacuum to operate vac systems like a/c vents, brakes, ect? Not interested in air 2 air coolers as I don't want to cut the body in any way.

you have a lot to learn [this in no way is a derrogatory statement]

but here is a good useful website with all sorts of information on turbochargers and how cars and engines work. it might help you out some. but im glad you are asking because its always good to learn. i myself dont know everything.
