Salutations!

Hello everyone. Let me introduce my self and some basic stuff about me, my name is Orlean - Im 19 and currently attending UTI for Auto Tech or to be a technician I guess you could say, I hope to make it a carreer and get my ASE's eventually in the future. Now that school is almost done for Ive always wanted a project car to play with ever since I got my license, specialy a RWD one. For the last 4 years Ive been a Hyundai guy ( and trust me you can say anything about them and it wont bother me, I've heard it all specialy from friends at school that always bust my chops about it) lol. Grant that I drive a 04 Tiburon GT and it is what spiked my intrest in this hobby and now field. I decided to be alittle different in my general area and get something no one had. Cars been good to me and Ive had allot of fun with it. But with all new cars there is just some things that cant be done to a new car, a older car seems more logical to play with. And of course the major reason, I wanted Rear-Wheel Drive.

Anyway, a friend at school spiked my intrest in 240's and drifting. Im new to the whole 240 thing and I hope to learn allot from you guys on here.

I recently acquired a 92 240sx Hatch from a friend of mine that was sitting still for 3 months. He took it apart because the tranny was seized in 1st gear. Luckily my friend at school had an extra one sitting around. But my friend didnt want to deal with the car anymore and got this bug up his *** to get a RX-7. The tranny was sitting in the passanger seat, and a cup full of bolts is all I got. Its really frustrating putting a car back together when you have no idea what came off what, lol ( I think I may be short on bolts). Also he got into a fender bender prior to the tranny messing up. Im having trouble getting the bumper back on because everything just isnt lining up, I just might have to get new fenders and a new bumper. The clutch that was in the car disappeared - long story. But I ordered a EXEDY OEM clutch online for now just to hold me off till I can afford something better. Im going to get the flywheel resurfaced hopefuly this week. The only thing that will stop me from getting it started is lack of a starter and possibly some parts I might not have.

So I hope to have fun with it. My applogises for such a LONG introduction.

You need to lower that tib man, or maybe sell it and pour all that money into the 240. With that much money you could build a pretty respectable 240.
BTW welcome man.

Thank you all for welcome. I personally dont like the new Tibs, the front end looks to much like a cougar. Im kinda waiting till they go RWD with the next model :-P In 08-09 there suppose to have a RWD Tib 2.0L Turbo or a 3.8 L V6 to compete with the 350z and G35 so Im looking forward to that if it does happen. I was going to lower my Tib but I havent gotten around to it. Friend of mine has them and said I could have them if I did the work with swapping them, I just need time.

Ive been thinking about selling the Tib but I just cant bring my self too it,lol. And anyways If I try to sell it I wont be able to get to much. I owe more than a can sell it for. Negative Equity sucks.

On the other hand the 240 is decent. If you look in one of the pics there is a dent in the quarter panel that I have no idea how much it would cost to get fixed. And also the dash is cracked but other than that it will be a fun project car.

welcome. get that 240 on the road and you'll never look back to the FWD world. Also, do I spy some S14 seats in there? one of the best upgrades out there for a budget S13
