Hi, my name is Roland and I plan on getting a 95+ 240sx as my next car. I always wanted a 240sx 'cause they are known for being an excellent drift-car. I drive a 1994 celica, which will soon go to my sister. Sorry for asking all these questions, I just want to know the facts before I purchase the car.

What's the best feature that you like about your car?

What 240sx model should I get and which one is the easiest to do an engine swap with?

What do you guys think of the stock 240sx engine? Do you guys think it's capable of being fast or is it already fast?

What are some of the known problems of the 240sx and how reliable do you guys think it is?

now, let's get into a few things, shall we?

is that so? do u plan on drifting? r u really into it, or do u just think it's a cool trend to jump on? also, other popular 'drift cars' that the u.s. got were the ae86 corolla and fc3s rx-7. by the way, if u didn't now, u can pretty much drift anything if u put ur mind to it (one day, i'm gonna drift a dumptruck baby, wo0! )...
it's about the cheapest FR platform car u can find w/decent handling. relatively lightweight with ok stock power, so to me, it's fun to drive. plus, i think they look damn sexy!
just a question? why do u wanna swap motors? have u driven a stock one yet? is there anything in particular ur looking to gain from a motor swap? btw, motor swaps don't really differ that much from year to year. when in doubt, search!
depends, what do u consider fast? 1/4 time? auto-x? highway battle? in my opinion, it's not a barn-burner, but it's kinda peppy, and gets the job done for some. and as far as 'making it fast', with money, parts, and a lil elbow grease, anything can be made fast. ever see the semi truck the the jet engine strapped to it? acceleration is bananas! again, i invite u to search the site (and the web) for this one. it's been asked and answered many times.
again, there are at least two threads about that here. please search, and ask again if u didn't find ur answer.
not trying to come off as a **** or anything, but a lot of the more basic information is already out there. the members here don't mind (or even enjoy, rather) helping others out, but the repetitive basic questions do have a tendency to annoy people who've answered them a million billion times. best advice, if u have basic questions (i.e. car specs, where to get front clips, etc), it's best to search first.

anyway, good luck w/ur purchase. oh yeah, and the celica looks nice.

what's the quarter mile for the 240sx? I want to know 'cause my celica is like 18 seconds......

My friend has a friend who drives a 240sx and my friend said that his car has his car has no room inside and it is really compacted. Is this true? I didn't like my celica 'cause it was compacted and had like no headroom.

I read in consumer guide that the 240sx stock engine's acceleration gets kinda sluggish at higher speeds. what do they mean by this?

 

im about six foot, and there is plenty of room for me...and a few of my friends...

as for 1/4 mile time, it really depends on the tranny...i ran a 16.4 wit my stock 95 SE with auto tranny

and as for acceleration, they have pretty good pick up, i was drivin home from delaware the other day, and i passed a bunch of cars easily goin 70-80...
