SR20DET questions

How hard and how much would dropping an S15 SR20DET engine in an S14? Is it already turbo or is that extra. and how many horses does it have. Sorry for all the questions but I don't know crap about these things. Any feedback will help. Oh one more thing where in the world would I find the engine anyway?

Would the SR20DET be the best engine for an S14 or would there be an alternative engine that would be better. I want to go fast but I want a strong engine that will hold up when I tinker with it. I also want one that I can do alot to with out combing the earth for parts and that I can do stuff to and actually feel the more bang for the buck. Any info will help. Thanx

P.S. thanks for that website HyJynX

Well what HP are u going for? Over 400? 300ish? The SR20 starts getting a little less reliable at around 400 i would say. SR parts are not hard to find at all, there are many in the states. A RB series engine is good for 400+ HP but is harder to find parts for, espically the RB20.
