NOTE: re-read my last post. If it says JADA or TOKYOPOP then don't buy it, it's not the original.

IOW try Ebay for the Japanese genuine versions. you can get stage 1 (tv series), stage 2 (tv series), stage 3 (movie), extra stage (focus on the girls), and battle stage (race compilation) in a DVD set for like $60ish. That's 10 DVDs, with English subs, playable on all region DVD players. And I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you watch the entire Initial D series in order, or you will miss some important facts and events.

Trust me, it's addicting to watch too.

I'd pass and just get the set with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Extra, and Battle stages (last I checked it's like $70 shipped)... those so-called "4th stage DVDs" are just fakes made from downloaded episodes with fansubs.

That's:

Initial D First Stage (4 DVDs, Ep. 1-26)
- the core of the series. Miss this and you won't understand how and why. Watch this and you'll be addicted and you'll stay up late watching by oh... the 3rd episode LOL

Initial D Second Stage (3 DVDs, Ep. 1-13)
- 1/2 the episodes of stage 1, but the character "intros" are done so it's all about the mountains, and hating Takumi's girlfriend =X

Initial D Third Stage (1 DVD, 107 mins)
- Unlike 1st and 2nd, this one was an actual movie shown in theaters. Some details are slightly different than the TV series but nothing to complain about. Great movie, great battle.

Initial D Extra Stage + Battle Stage (2 DVDs, 50 mins each)
Extra Stage overlaps the regular "Stages" by viewing the Initial D world through the Impact Blue team's point of view. Battle Stage is basically all the races from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd nonstop (don't watch this until you see the other DVDs FIRST!)

BTW it's actually 10 DVDs total... so $70 for 10 brand new DVD's is a bargain if you think about it.

Damn I sound like a commercial.

Ill try it next year, (when Norton runs out) But i have had Kazaa without Norton and it does the same thing. I downloaded a really pathetic Initial D game off of Initial D World. (Initial D World ) Ive never seen the arcade game tho.
