Sup guys, new member

Hey guys I was wondering what you guys think about this

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...&ac_afflt=none

1995 Nissan 240SX w/SR20DET engine in the SR14 chassis, I basically have no intrest in drifting... i know im sorry but heres my question, what do you guys think about the 240sx being a street racing car, does it have potential to knock out the C5's and the Mustang GT's on the highway?

Drag and basically tourque on the highway is what i care about, being able to put on a car length or so on mustangs and vettes..... what do you guys think ? OR am I out of my mind and the 240SX is just the ultimate drift machine?

Thankyou for the replys before hand.

Oh might I add, I am a rx07 fan , but not that much of a fan due to the fact its expensive to mod, doing that twin to single turbo upgrade.... those random engine fires , and those damn rebuilds every 70k mi. Not a good car to start off with. So basically I thought the 240 is around the same weight, now just gotta put in the power and im guessing we have a rx-7 but a SAFER version, oh and ALOT cheaper.

Ok...for that price that car is a pretty damn good deal. As for beating C5s and mustang GTs, ha! They run what, high 13s and below in the 1/4 mile? Turn up the boost on a SR and you will probably see mid to low 14s. Upgrade the turbo and injectors and crank the boost even more then you might beat the Mustang. 240s are not the best drag cars out there...but after some tuning and money you can beat some american muscle

Hrmm Intresting

So what do you think 240sx not a good choice or what? I do like the car, and the price is very cheap, only thing that I can think of being a fast car and in that price range is the rx-7 which you know all the mumbo jumbo that I said up above lol.

240s are made to take turns well, not drag well. It could be made into a drag car, but i would think you will need to put more money into it then other cars. But for the price, thats a good car to buy.

Are you crazy? A 240sx is a great car. An RX-7 costs more than a 240sx does. Very nice car. And welcome to the forums

-HyJynX- If you dont mind me asking, what other cars did you have in mind? tommyboy thankyou for the reply, I am leaning towards the 240 , just want to see what other cars would be good drag cars while putting in less money than the 240sx, cause I cant think of anything cheaper.

w/o going into domestics...Z32s are real good. Old Zs are good too. MKII supras...hmm i dunno. Dont get me wrong, 240s can be dragged. But they arent exactly the quickest out there.

There are a lot of domestic cars you can get...mustang 5.0s, camaros(V8), firebirds...many more. 5.0s might be a good idea though.

welcome. JynX is on the right track. for good, cheap (domestic) power, a fox-bodied 5.0 Mustang will get u down the 1/4 pretty good.

Not to knock you Jynx, but I remember Z32's aren't the best choices for drag "out of the box" because of the rear suspension that has anti-squat built into the geometry... I remember reading that somewhere but I can't remember where
