UK Newbie! :D

hi all!

my name is gav, i live in stoke-on-trent, england and own a '95 200sx s14 with sr20det. i work as a carsalesman for a peugeot main dealer

my car is currently standard ( or stock as u guys say ) apart from a 3" s/s straight through cat back and BoV. ive got plans to get the car lukin as good as it did wen it rolled out of nissans factory , then im gonna concentrate on moddin it out.

ive registered on here as the s14 seems to be more popular in the states and they seem to prefer the s14a and s15 over here.

here are a few pics of my baby which i name arnie ( due to the licence plate RNY ) lol!

I love it . . .I want that Celica you have sitting there, LOL! Nice S14! I can't wait to see what you make of it. When I was in the Marine Corps, we ported in the UK, didn't stay long at all (about 10hrs) but I would definitely love to visit . . .it was a tad nippy outside but I can I had a decent time and can't wait to go back!

America always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to imported cars.
Emissions regulations, DOT saftey, blah, blah, blah.
We get the watered down version IF we even get the car...

cheers for the warm welcome guys!

stig: the celica is ma lil bros st202, it has the 1800cc 7A-FE sohc engine, not blindinly fast (118hp) bt cool as hes only jus turned 21. its an R reg ('98) and is also very clean. hes savin up for a st205 celica gt4 or supra sz non turbo.

ruiz: after xmas arnie will be recieving:

walbro 255 litre per hour uprated fuel pump
high flow fuel filter
hks iridium spark plugs
apexi boost controller
blitz sus power intake
re-map & boost increase to 1.0 bar

im hoping to see power output rise to approx 280hp(ish) from the flywheel.

with a warm reception like this i will definately be posting regularly

ryguy: its the sr20det engine, power output approx 220hp. i have the nokia N73 im likin your ps13 soft top 8) u dont see them her in the uk, probably because we dont get much sun over here

spade: yes, 200sx touring comes with sr20det engine, a/c, leather, lsd and a few other optional extras, they were also released with the sr20de (non- turbo) version mainly because here in the uk it costs £1.08 per litre for unleaded petrol :S and sum people struggle to run a turbo from day to day.

if any of u guys need any guidance with regards to the sr20det jus gimme a shout as we have alot of specialists for this particuar engine over in the uk and id be more than willing to ask questions on your behalf. or, even regester with www.japmids.com its a uk based forum with loads of top guys/gals on there that would be more than happy 2 answer any questions with regards to the sr20
