what is up?

hi wanted to introduce myself. i drive a honda, have been looking very hard at the 240 (RWD BABY) for a while, but i want a beater 240 so that i could learn how to drift w/o having to worry too much about messing the car up... anyways i found a 1990 240 se $1500 w. the following problems:
-some paint is flaking off around the door and the hood.
-The speedometer is kinda finicky, most of the time it's dead on, but sometimes its off by exactly ten miles.
-The driver's side power window console is not working; I imagine it has something to do with the relay in the door.
-Making a real light squeaking noise in the rear; I'm thinking it's the brakes, which I have and will replace.
also its a manual with 111k miles...
what specific problems should i look for, as in things that specifically goes wrong with this model?

welcome to the forums

The paint shouldnt be too big of a problem, if its a beater you could get a cheapo maaco paint job. No clue about the speedo. Take off the drivers side door panel, check to see if everything is tight and nothing is disconnected, when I replaced my door speakers one piece wasn't on right and my drivers side wouldn't work. I'd say also check her out for rust, car cancer sucks

If the frame is straight and its not rusted or anything I'd say the price is good, you could still try and talk him to maybe get it cheaper, but if he is firm I would still go for it
