what up

what up all. I don`t have a 240 yet but I am going to buy one in the near future. I currently own a Saturn SL2 that runs low 14`s N/A. I have been working on that for a few years now but I am getting sick of it. I am in the market for a 98 240 cuz I love the look of it. I don`t have any questions as of yet but I just wanted to say whats up and I am looking forward to chilln here. Later days.

Those Saturns are pretty fast with the right parts (relatively speaking)

yup, if you are ready to spend some cash you can make them quite fast. The only problem (and the reason I am sick of it) is that only 2 or 3 companies make performance parts for them. So they own a monopoly on the market and they make their parts pretty expensive. It was a good learning experience though. I had to make several parts myself like headers and CIA. I learned how to port and polish manifolds and Throttle bodies and regrind cams. Head swaps and tranny swaps were a must also. Everything but the cams and the forged internals I made in my garage. Its great when you spend a **** load of time researching and designing a part and then you try it out and it works well. Feels much better than when you order a new part that you know is going to work. But, like I said. I am getting to the point with it where I tapped just about as much as I can out of it N/A and if I want more power I will have to go Forced induction. That means I will have to change or completely replace a lot of the parts I spent so much time making. Forget that garbage!!!!

I have a '94 Saturn SL which is going on almost 190k miles. It is so slow, I can't stand it. That is why I want to make the leap to 240-land. I desparately want a car that is fast and has power steering! Lol. I can't stand my car. It is chugging along but barely has 84hp. Well, at least it taught me how to drive manual transmission!

Oh and welcome!!

my buddy has a boosted 94 and he is pushing over 320hp. Its so unbelievably fast!!! Check out www.qksltwo.com
he has some videos of it. That saturn is sick!!!! But I think you would have a hard time with so many miles on your engine. Go for the 240!!!!

Wow, 320hp is sick! I'm highly impressed that the car doesn't crunch up under all the power! My saturn is cool, but I just wish it had a little more under the hood. My wife has a nice '03 Ion-3 with 140hp stock which I feel is very impressive for Saturn to do.
