S-AFC on OBD-2?

Is it a smart choice or no? Reason I'm asking is because I hear how much it sucks to try and tune an OBD-2 ECU and I only see S-AFC's on OBD-1 KA's.

You can use an SAFC on an OBD2 the difficulty is that at the time of adjusting an A/Fr OBD 2 ecu's continually shift there A/Fr's to driver habit's making it a bit more difficult to tune. It is doable, but it takes many more hours of tuning than OBD1.

Not so much so. I ran and AFC2 on my 97 Talon, and it kept the settings pretty well. The ECU will only try to correct so far, and then it will kind of "give in".

But the tuning does take slightly longer on OBD2 rather than OBD1, correct? that was the only point I was trying to make. The AFR's on OBD1 are pretty much set for an easy correction, OBD2 seems to readjust it's afr's.

You are correct, a little longer, but after you hit a certain point, the OBD2 will stop trying to readjust the AFRs. This is when you are on the ragged edge of lean, but make the most power.
