1995 240sx SE Turbo
Ok, finally selling my 240sx due to the fact that I just got an ///M3. The car and the motor have 170K miles; however, the compression was checked on all the cylinders before the install of the turbo kit and they all had very good pressure (175-180 psi). The car runs very rich right now because unfortunately, when I purchased the kit from turbonetics (stage 2 kit) they did not send the Jim Wolf retuned ECU. The car only requires the retuned ECU to be complete and lean itself out properly. The ECU can be done for $500 from JWT and would make the car run efficiently up to 18psi. I will also be including a lot of other parts with the sale and hopefully, I can get some pics up by this weekend. The car is RED if anyone is wondering, and the best REASONABLE offer will take the car. I have to sell this right away, so anyone interested make me an offer. E-mail me if you have any questions.

what do u mean they did not send the ECU... was it paid for? did u forget to order it? what form of fuel and timing management are u currently using? how many lbs. of boost have u run? r u running a boost controller? who did the installation? has the car been tracked or dyno'd?
Turbonetics no longer includes the fuel/timing management with their kits. When I ordered it I wasn't aware of this and the install instructions never mention it being necessary. About two months ago turbonetics released revised instructions that state that a JWT retuned ECU is required and that they do not provide it. I have copies of both sets of directions and was going to sue the **** out of them, but don't have the time to deal with legal problems right now. The part should be included in their kit as their website still states that they contain a fuel/timing computer with every turbo kit that they sell. That is why the car isn't up and running properly and why I haven't been able to successfully get it onto the road. The install was done by a local shop that I used to work for, and they never got me the ECU either. There is no boost controller, it is only being regulated through the wastegate, so probably 8psi right now. No dyno or track runs, although it runs well enough to easily do a 1/4 mile run. It just runs to rich to maintain an idle, so it can't be a daily driver until the ECU is retuned. Sorry for not clearing that up for you.
I may consider parting out this car if I can get some reasonable offers on the parts. I will still be trying to sell the car as one piece, but if there is enough demand and I'll be making enough money off of it this way i'll definately consider it. E-mail me with what you would like and i'll let you know a price that is reasonable for it. If I do part out, everything will have to go including the empty shell if anyone wants to build a track car.
so the engine (with 170K miles) has been running up to 8psi without any kind of fuel or ignition management, no safeguards like a BTM were installed, isn't running right or running rich, and did not have a compression check AFTER the installation?
The car has an Apexi S-AFC to try to lean out the A/F ratio, but it just doesn't help enough to get the car up and running. The car would run fine, but being to rich, the motor is getting drowned with fuel unless the throttle is open. And since the car wasn't going back onto the road right away, I was going to wait until I got the ECU to retest the compression.
