the window sticker on the car says 4998 and you are asking 7300 on the forum. What is the actual price you are trying to get?

That's not the car he is selling. Although I do wish you luck getting $7,300 out of the car. I would go with $6,000.

What part of VA are you in?

I could offer 4800 for it, maybe more once you've decided on a more realistic price for it.

7300 is not a bad price. I sold my 1998 240sx 5 speed leather all stock for 9500 in 2 days after i put it on autotrader. These cars are in demand.

You'll have much better luck putting it on autotrader. I am sure it will sell with end 1 weeks time. To much BS in these forums when you try to sell a car.

thanks!

i know what its priced at according to blue book etc, but i also see what they go for on ebay, forums, and the asking prices on autotrader, so i considered all of those when setting my price.

been out of town, will try and take some pictures this week

Is the car 5 lug?
are you the original owner?
does it have a clean title?
does it have a sunroof?
what color is it?
has it ever had any body work done?
any rust, anywhere?
if sunroof = yes, does it leak?
original clutch?
how are the brakes?
would you drive the car to east tennesse to help with delivery?
does the car have all of the splash and skid guards still attached? (odd question but just about every 240 on the road is missing these)
does it have vlsd?
do you have the title?

the reason I am asking is because I am extremely interested and have cash in hand. However, I need to speak with you about price because it is listed significantly higher than blue book. (especially if it does not have a few of the options listed above) Let me know if we can work something out.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Blue book doesn't mean crap for these cars. Blue book says my 1998 240sx goes for 4800 but i sold it for 9500. Blue book doesn't take into account that these cars are in demand so there is a mark up on them.

any rust, anywhere?

not that i can think of, again you can check it out yourself

if sunroof = yes, does it leak?

no

original clutch?

yes, and rock solid

how are the brakes?

they are just fine

would you drive the car to east tennesse to help with delivery?

probably not for any price reduction, but if youre interested we can work something out

does the car have all of the splash and skid guards still attached? (odd question but just about every 240 on the road is missing these)

im sorry i dont really know what you mean by these

does it have vlsd?

another thing i dont know how to check, my guess is no

see elixers post- blue book is not a good source for pricing these cars. the high-mile ragged ones may sell for near bluebook or a little higher. super-clean low-mile examples sell a lot higher. if you do some research you will learn this for yourself. this car is rock solid and very clean. pictures coming soon!
