What kinda of risk would I take by running this on my car?

At that price I'm guessing this isn't a cat, but a test pipe. I know on MA the fine for messing with emissions control equipment is something like $2500 if you get caught. In CA, there is an underhood inspection making it more likely to get caught. I wouldn't risk it.

Check out www.heavythrottle.com . They sell a real high flow replacement cat for $139 that will increase performance and will be no risk.

that isnt a cat, there was a topic over at NICE about one of those before. Its just a test pipe but they sell it as a cat.
