best high oerformance exhaust

What's the highest flowing exhaust that you people have used. I want it to be high flowing but queit at the same time. I was looking at this http://www.store.yahoo.com/phase2mot...roras.htmlthey say its quiet under 93 decibles. I was also looking at the apexi gt spec exhaust cuz it's racing exhaust but quiet and comes with the silencer. which one is better? and will it fit properly?

yea quiet is good but i like a lil roar to it. i had tanabe pipes and a apexi n1 muffler on my prelude and it was a lil tooooo loud for me. i kinda wanted that racing exhaust look to thats why and the rsr i was looking at it but it looks tooo stock but i think im leaning a lil more towards it

Gt spec is not that loud got a resonator so the exhaust really has a good tone. It gets louder under boost a full throttle but you can keep it down.

hks is loud

5 zigen tends to be middle of the road and they sound good imo

Ok, I'm brand new here, and just got my first 240. I want a loud exhaust...I like loud. I was lookin at the HKS hi-power or the dual N1 Apexi. Which one (or different) would be best for performance while being loud at the same time. I just love hearin a car roar.

You want loud go Ebay 3" muffler with no silencer, straight pipe 3" mandrel, no cats, no resonators. That will be loud, but your car will lose power and it'll be annoying as hell.

You want louder, try a sidepipe

As far as performance goes, you can get more performance out of the same money you spend on a brand name exhaust with other parts. Exhausts (and intakes) affect performance when combined with other upgrades. Exhaust alone won't make your car faster (especially NA), but it's more like "exhaust is getting your car ready to breathe better".

Thus I said above:

But that Preston guy just said he wants loud. Even the original thread starter is running a 1995 DOHC, which won't benefit either from 3" piping.

The only people who gain from 3" piping are those with turbo's, swapped or added-on.
