Arrow Carbon Fiber Hood, Doors, Hatch, Panels, ETC

I was reading up on Carbon fiber and i found that they make most of the body for a 240 in carbon fiber, i don't care for the looks of it, so i have a couple questions.

First is it easily painted so no one can even tell its carbon fiber, i don't care for the carbon hoods on a blue car for instance.

Also is it worth the money? i know it sheds 20 pounds here and there, but would it not all equal up to around 150 pounds at the most? Is it really worth the money? Why not put the money into a little tuning or power instead of a Carbon Fiber Hood, Body Panels, Doors Roof and Hatch?

Thanks in advance!

Well, nothign beats lightening up a car. Tuning up a car will make it faster, but it puts more strain on the tires, suspension, and your brakes. If you're lighter, all those components work less. And yes, CF can be painted over. But if you wanna get a CF hatch, you wanna get the laxan/plexi glass along with it because most of the weight is in the glass.

i believe single weave carbon fiber is easier painted than the others, gotta check into that tho. the painted hoods on the 05 z06's are single weave for that reason.

I heard of some type of lightweight window that needs no windshield wipers because the water just slides off, i'm trying to research it, because then you save weight on the glass, windshield wipers, motor, wiper fluid resevoir and the wiper fluid, pretty *****en...

in california it has to be DOT approved shatter pattern glass... but if its a registerd californa show car, which cant exceed 3000 miles a year, you dont have to worry about dot glass, emissions, or other safty crap...
