Carbon Headlight Question

I was looking around on importfan and scoped these headlight covers that ditch the flip ups.

http://www.importfan.com/index.asp?P...OD&ProdID=5244

i didn't know if anyone had any experience with them? i am painting my car black and i thought it would look pretty mean, plus, more aerodynamic! if anyone could check these out or if they have them, tell me if they like em, lemme know!
thanks in advance

there are very few people with those. only a couple are on here. if they had glass or plastic on the top you could put HID projectors in them.

yeah, they reminded me of the east bear but not AS round and big, originally when i saw them i thought that there was in fact a piece of glass or plastic over them, then after posting i took a closer look and couldn't tell, i want to put a piece over them if i got them, would that be an easy task? what to use? Lexan or glass? any ideas? thanks for the imput guys

When i look at them i think they would look *****en on a black 240, they even look nice on that white one, they remind me of 300z headlights, if they had something over the lenses.

The link is working for me, try it again, if not go to importfan.com then click nissan - 1989-1994 240 then look about halfway down on the right, headlights on a white 240 =D

hmm.. i heard a bad rumor recently that those headlights do not produce enough light for night driving, no matter how bright a lamp you put in them.

I like them alot. Does anybody know where you'd get the lenses for them though? Or are they suppose to come with the housing?

I highly doubt that the conversions come with lenses, prolly just housing, i'm planning on buying them, findind some glass or lexan opr something to put over them to put in projector HID lights into them, it will end up looking sort of like 300zx headlights, except, much tighter =D

These are actually copies of a different company (D-speed I think) the lights are a lot smaller than the east bear sets. I don't have my hyper rev in front of me or I could tell you for sure. The real set only sells for like $350 too!

It looks good. I don't think it'll hurt anything, but Texas240 is prolly right about not producing enough light as a lot of those foglights look good but aren't bright enough. Unless you find an HID conversion bulb kit for it...the bulbs are prolly H1 or H3

D-speed makes the original? i'll try ad check em out. I like em because they look like 300zx lights, but 300zx ligts would be hella pricey. And the east bear ones are awefully large and rounded and what not =\
