TEIN FLEX for S14

Prep: Comes with front camber plates, 2 'gripper' things and lotsa TEIN stickers! Fairly easy to install. Make sure the tops are turned (right?) about 8 clicks for the default setting (stiffness). Make sure that the coilovers match each other in length (R front-L front, etc) when you put them on.

Install: Fairly straightforward. The rears are super easy. Fronts are kinda a beotch with the Brembo calipers. Make sure the camer plates match perpendicular to the body or else you'll end up dropping it again and putting the fronts back up. Camber should be preset. I didn't touch them.

Aftermath: For some reason, the front of the car was a little higher than the rear at about 1.5 fingers and the rear was kinda slammed with negative camber. I tried to lower the front a little, but they were pretty much maxed. The spring just dropped from where it was sitting. Also, I could not raise the rears much. It was to the point that I was compressing the spring too much turning the spring.

I am very impressed with the change. The ride is pretty stiff and bounces a bit. Well worth it. Handles like it's on rails. It takes a little more to get the tail out, but man when it does, watch out for that oversteer!

-Tuning is a matter of measuring, You don't have to count the number of coils. I did it ghettofabulous and took an 8.5x11" paper with a pen. To loosen, take one of the tools to the ring under the spring and turn it right. Put the other under that ring and turn it left. You can turn the spring with your hand to adjust. Vice versa to tighten. Make sure you tighten them enough or the rings get loose and travel. Also tighten the ring at the very bottom and make sureit does not move. Obviously do not overtighten them. I'll take pics tomorrow morn.

No, I keep forgetting. They were on the car for a while now. It's pretty straightforward b/c the whole thing drops down. You'll prob need 2 jacks. One for the car and the other for the arm to match the holes on the top.
