tomei and hks

Hi i am saving up for a s13 clip with good dash and motor(red top). I am going to switch my 89 240 to rhd and swap the red top in. But before i swap the motor i figured while i had it out i woul drebuild the internals. I was looking at the tomei stroker kit (2.2L) and was thinkin about buying hte 270 cams but wasnt sure what other head parts to buy any suggestions

I know what drifting is... anyways, you didn't say if your car was daily driven. 270* cams seems to be a lot for drifting, from what i've heard, the 256* and 264* are better because the make good torque.

thanks

I did not mean to be a smart A#@ about the drifting thing. The reason i said 270 was b/c im not quite shore what would be the best (thanks). The car will be daily driven for a little while but i have a turbo bimmer i am just about to finish so i will be drivin that for the time being while i save for the clip and interals and machining work. Does anyone know of any good shops around PA for RHD work?
thanks

If your going to drift, focus on other important essentials as well. Drifting doesn't require gobs of power. Just don't build all this power and forget to reinforce your suspension. You don't want to be those guys at drift day with your car almost rolling over.

I realize i need suspenion work also but i need the car driveable during school so i figured if i get the interals out of the way first than the rest is all just bolt ons and suspension components only take a few hours to install were as motors swaps and rhd conversions take alot longer. has anyone heard anything good about the tein superdrift suspension. Also does anyone know of any good aftermarket valves or whole head rebuild kits.

thanks

i started a thread on the tein super drifts. check it out in the suspension forum. They are basically HE's with Flex appearance and 10/8 rates. They can be sent to Tein USA for overhaul which is a definate plus, but not many people send their's in within a year. I was goin to get them but decided to go with silk roads. As for the head work, look around at several retailer's. HKS makes valvetrain, as does many many other brands. All comes down to your preference.
