is a 240sx a good car?
MR2's are more expensive than 240s... MR2s are a little small..not the best car for a big guy. S13s are the kinda same..but a little more roomier. Ive heard MR2s are very sensitive cars when it comes to handling...For insurance i dont know how it is..i think MR2s might be a little more expensive then a S13...uhmm..i cant think of anything else.
I'd say no on an mr2 for a first car if you plan on driving hard. Mid-engine cars are the best handling in the world but that doesn't mean they are the easiest to drive. If you do get one take it slow until you learn more about the car...and goodluck driving an mr2 to school when its icy out. Other than that though they are great looking and fun to drive. except for the lack of space.

CORRECTION: 91 MR2s (and 92s) do NOT "have problems when driven to the limit." it's the driver who has problems, who can't correctly control a (admittedly sensitive) mid-engined car. the reason toyota changed stuff for the 93+ is to save stupid americans from themselves.
both are good cars. MR2 as a first car? Driver has to be mature enough to make intelligent decisions. and go to autoX and driving events/instructions. get on the track/autoX a lot so you can handle your car. it's a great car but it also demands some skill. the 240SX is easier to drive, a little more room for a daily driver, but the rear end can still come around on you. 240SX is usually cheaper as well.
either way, regardless of the car, get your tail out to some track events or autoXes and get better
there is no better modification than a more-skilled driver...

Lol, any car you get for a type of motor sport you have to learn to drive the car first... you can't drift a 240 your whole life and jump in a rx7 and think it'll do exsactly the same... or drag a 3000gt then hop in Top Fuel's civic and be able to handle the thing... unless your super driver...
The thing is,
It seems like all my rivals seem to be driving in mr2's its fricking hillarious (to me) one guy wants me to battle his time in an auto cross and then my old friend (we got issues in the past) recently got an mr2
damn mr2's
just my 2 cents lol
