I'm not really big on painting the interior, but I'll try to help. My friend did this to his crx so I'll basically just say what he did. First he went to A&A (an auto parts store here, i dunno if they're all over) bought auto interior spray paint. I don't remember the brand, but on the outside it said what it could be used on. Like I said, he bought the spray paint, he bought spray primer, and spray clear coat.

Then he took the piece he was going to paint, he washed the piece real good with soap and water, then he applied the primer and let it sit for a little. Then he used the paint, he used as many coats as he had to to get the desired look. Then he put on several coats of the clear. I would suggest using the clear coat as it helps keep the paint from cracking and chipping. All in all, it came out good and looked new (he painted it black because the previous owner painted it red and it was chipping all to hell). So yea it is very possible to do yourself. Hope that helped some
