Autometer Shift Lite Tachs

The Autometer C2 5" 10,000 RPM Shift-Lite Tachometer (http://autometer.com/hp/2003_catalog...e_art/7299.jpg) or the Autometer Phantom 5" Monster 10,000 RPM Shift-Lite Tachometer (http://autometer.com/hp/2003_catalog...e_art/5899.jpg) are the tachs i want to get for my 95 240. What i was wondering about was can i install this 5" tach, then still have room for a dual or single gauge pod?

There are like 5 different kinds of these 5" tachs (http://www.racingfashion.com/autometer_gauges.htm). What are the differences between them other than the appearance?

do you REALLY need a tach? For me, i think it's stupid when a civic or someone with a mildly modded car pulls up with a HUGE tach, that goes all the way up to 13K rpms, when their engine redlines @ 6500, lol.

Depends on the interior, if it's dark i'd go with the darker one, and vice versa. they both look clean to me.

If I really NEEDED a tach, I'd get the Phantom version since it looks more like my stock white face gauges. The C2 one is ok, but that huge "C2" in the middle of the face makes it look kind of cheesy, in my opinion.

As far as differences in the 5" tachs other than appearance, I think they're pretty close to the same thing.

If you mount a 5", it looks like you still will have room for a dual or triple pod, but they would sit pretty high up on the pillar.

But like Doc said... do you really need one? (cancel the question if you're a drag racer-type dude).

umm...just curious, but why do you need a tach? the stock tach is perfectly fine and sits where it should be. in the dash. and shift light equipped ones aren't even worth the money, IMO. you should know when to shift your car through feel alone.
