Black Signals?

I got the idea with the large amount of people painting their signal lenses amber. Could I paint the lenses black and them still be visable? I thought it would look good on my soon to be black car. LMK if anyone has any experience with it.

no, that would look rice as hell, paint the housing black if u want to do anything. to take the lense off boil the blinker in water and pry off with screwdriver. ive painted my corner housings, headlamp bezels, and plan to do the blinkers next.

by all means put it in your sig if you wish. you think that would stop me from posting? i have all the right to reply as you have all the right to start a thread.

and i answered your question correctly. you are the one that seems not to know that you dont PAINT your corners, you TINT them.

the stuff people stray are transparent "paint" in other words pretty much tint in a can. if anything i DID help you, by telling you to TINT them so they can still shine through rather than painting them. but your the one that took it up the ***

you also took my post the very wong way. who said i was hostile or even tense when posting?

so if anything, you are the one that needs to chill out kid.

Mmmkay thnx

Yeah sorry about that, I was just in a weird mood. I just took it the wrong way, it's hard to see how things are meant to be "said" on an online forum, or online anywhere for that matter. Yes, you did help me, I just inferred from your previous posts that it was meant to be sarcastic (caps lock anyone?) and that was my fault.

Truce? I'm tired of seeing hissy fits on this forum. It gets old real fast, and I don't want to start one. It's pointless.

And yeah, it would most likely look like crap anyways, I just thought a nice smoke look would look nice.

theres something most performance stores sell called "Niteshade" it's used to tint or 'black out' your tailights, or any lights really. The only problem is that it finishes flat, so you would need to spray some coats of clear coat to get the glossy result.

Go to an arts store and ask for glass paint. They'll refer you to either Krylon paint for glass or something else. I used Krylon red paint to tint my rear taillights and it came out good.
