hey man, could you possibly go out of your way to record the exhaust revving inside and outside of the car, as well as idle??

if you could, this would be very helpful cuz as you know, im looking to buy the Hi-Power and i wanna know how it sounds on OUR car with OUR motor exactly...

so if you could, that would be great!

Good stuff man, sounds like it worked out perfect for you. You even got it done cheaper than me! Did you get it full catback?

I did the same with a magnaflow and love it, I don't get why people go out and spend $550 for the N1 when this is just as good and so much cheaper. But thats just me.

could you guys tell me where you got yours done/ did you they use mandrel bends? i heard if they dont use mandrel bends the joints can rust between 2-3 years

 

I got mine done in KC, and yes it's Mandrel bent. Any decent muffler shop can do the same for you cheap. buy the muffler for ~150 installed, and they'll throw in a full catback exhaust for another ~100 or so. Mandrel bend was a must for me.

ok now the tough part... do you like the sound? My biggst fear is that I'll be happy I saved all this money ona bolt on and then the sound is disappointing... plus how can I be sure the guys doin it know what will sound decent or not

 

I love the sound of mine, lately it's gotten too loud, I wish I could turn it down a bit, but it's nowhere as loud as a civic's. I had no clue exactly how it would sound, but with the 2.4L it definately is low and growls/farts, heh. There are no guarantee's the guys doing it will do it right, but it's not rocket science, it's basic welding.

Well sound itself should be a science because it is complicated, and everything plays a factor in the final output... Think ima get bolt on = )

 

yeah.. mandril bent or sumthin.. full catback.. sounds great.. and none of that farting for my car.. or even gurgling!! just pure deep tones.. get an HKS hyper.. the greatest thing that came for a 240!! heh..
