clearing amber part in tail lights??

how do I clear out the amber part of the tail lights, ive seen it before and it looks really tight, and I dont want to pay up the *** for the ones at clearcorner.com, has anyone done this before. I want to do this my self. Im pretty sure you would have to bake them or sommthing.

i've heard of some people heating the taillighst in an oven, then scraping off the amber part

don't take my word for it though

if you really want it you're gonna have to pay through the nose to get it from clearcorners

also, i wouldn't recomend getting this unless you have a dark coloured car, on a white car it will probably look nasty

...correct me if I'm wrong, but on S13 and S14 Zenki tails, isn't the orange part molded with the red part as if it was one piece? As opposed to a tailight with a clear lens and an orange "inner lens" (like most front corner lamps in the 90's)?

yes, I believe it it molded, it's not a mere insert. I'm going to pick up a set of tailights off my buddy and see if it is possible, it can't be too hard, right?

Definitely molded... we checked out my friend's s13 hatch AND our other friend's S13 coupe... plus my S14 tails are molded orange too.
