Custom Headlights
Was wondering if anyone had information about customizing your headlights to appear blackened, tinted, or just carbon fiber cutouts? I keep coming across these really agressive 97+ headlights, usually on race S14's. But there must be somewhere to get them for myself.. thanks.
That RS-R Silvia is the most sexiest thing on the planet.
Ok anyways- How about getting a set of clear headlight covers and customizing those? Just an idea.
Did I mention that the RS-R Silvia is the most sexiest thing on the planet?

Wow the oven part is scary... I did this thing where I painted the inside bezel of my old 200SX SE-R headlights (the projector kind) for that "blackout" look, but I used a heat gun (the kind you buy at hobby shops) and patience. The patience is not getting too excited to take the headlight apart, because the heatgun works great. Take your time, heat up the seam where the cover is attached to the rest of the headlight, and use a lot of screwdrivers to wedge into the gap. after about 10-15 minutes you should be able to pull the front lens off.
NOTES: The plastic will get hot, so be careful. Also, don't hold the heat gun on one spot too long - especially while you're pulling the lens off - because you might warp the lens itself, and it won't seat properly when you reheat the adhesive to re-assemble the light. A small tube of silicon comes in handy during reassembly to ensure that you seal it up right.
Good luck - here's a pic of my results (no leaks for 2 years until I sold the car)

1) You're right... where would you spray the black?
2) The outer lense isn't clear.
Note how the proper look is achieved on my old car because the outer lense is crystal clear. We did the same thing to my cousin's white 200SX, but he had stock headlights (not clear lens) and you could see the black "outline" but it wasn't as noticeable.
oh - and ty boricuajr
i messed with the zenki tail lights tho.. hella brighter
theres like a second piece of plastic behind the outer part of the lens.. i jes broke off the interior pieces into little bits with a screwdriver and pliers.. looks hella sikk.. iono if you'll tell the difference if i post pics... but i'll try..
