I made one of these threads way back when but it disapeared so I thought i'd start a new one to update what's been doing on.
It's a 97 240sx LE that started off as an automatic. From stock, these mods have been done:
Auto to Manual
Nardi Classic Steering Wheel
Moderately gutted
GP Sports GR6 Coilovers
Tein Pillowball Tension rods
ACT 6 pad clutch disc with Heavy Duty pressure plate.

(Btw. I don't use the screwdriver shift **** that often. I'm using an OEM until I pick up a nice one. I just throw it on once in a while for photos because of the nice feedback)
I defeated Sound deadening. I'm in the process of getting the rest of it painted for a nice clean look.
Took a long wait for these to come in. I'm happy with the choice I made.
That's the best feature. I put them on how they came out of the box because I assumed that was the recommended height but it came out horrible. Front had an inch or two of wheel gap and the rear was low as hell and totally cambered out.
I think I had to adjust the rear 3 times and the front twice to get it where it is now. Still not content. I just need to go an half inch or inch lower on both front and rear.

The auto to manual was about $850 parts and labor. The hardest part to find was the s14 non-ABS driveshaft which I ended out getting a really good deal on once I found a donor, everything else is interchangable with any year 240sx.
I'm still looking for an ECU. I could easily get a 95 240sx KA ECU but I read only the 96-98 manual ECUs will work because of the whole OBII thing. If anybody has one and is willing to sell, I'll strongly consider your offer.

There are ways around that. The eletrical part is pretty tricky but there are alot of tutorial webpages. I'd assume you pretty much know what you're doing though if you're thinking about attempting this. The tutorial webpages are pretty broad:

It isn't worth going through the entire swap if you have the money to do an SR along with auto to manual. You'll need to find most of the same parts anyway but you save a bit with the transmission, ECU, etc. If you're planing to do the RB25det, you wont be able to use the s14 drive shaft so that's actually another expense that could be avoided.
Unfortunately, I won't have the money for an SR, especially since i'm going for an S14 Blacktop, so I'm very glad I went through with this swap. I also have priorities like LSD, brakes, etc so I would of been going auto for a long time if I waited out for that.

Pardon my posting in a relatively old thread but I had a few more questions about the A/T to M/T swap.. You said for the total cost for parts and labor was $850. Did you do anything personally or did you just bring it to a shop to get the swap done? And was it a pain in the *** to find those parts? About how long did it take you to get them? Where did you buy them from mostly? Thanks!
I knew somebody who found most of the parts and did the labor. I only had to find mostly the driveshaft which I got pretty lucky on and found a nice one for a nice price. A shop will more likely overcharge. All parts are interchangable from any 240sx besides for the driveshaft which has to be from an s14 without ABS. (s14 with abs if you have abs) so if you find a donar 240, the only thing youll need to find a the driveshaft. I'm still running with an auto ecu and still haven't had any significant start problems. Even in -4 degree windchill weather.
