fender roller

Well, I spent the last couple of days
building a fender roller
Name: finalfenderrollerpix001.jpg
Views: 27
Size: 79.6 KB
I had all of the materials sitting around from other projects leftovers
even a couple of old snow mobile bearings for the roller
the plastic was from stock I bought to make my own set of hammers
for pounding out my aluminum car
Hope it works

Thanks guys
I am thinking of loaning it out once we finish using it
on the 240SX coupe
assuming it works ok
Probably just lend it out for cost of shipping

How nice of you lol How come you started a thread instead of putting this with your build thread?

i suppose....probably post update when we are done using it
then loan it out.... probably enough pieces in that thing ...it
could have been it's own build thread...haa

Dude, what CAN'T you do? Who the hell builds their own fender roller? LOL.

Very nice, man.

My fender is rusted in the rear...not sure how to take care of that. My body guy says I need a whole new rear fender; but I really don't feel like spending all that money on a 95 240. He quoted me like 3k to fix everything on the body of my car.

You seem like you do a lot of DIY, can I fix it easily, you think?

I don't have any experience in body work....and I don't know how to
paint.....I hate rust.... Body work is no easy job, in fact it is
one of the things I'll gladly pay for .... fixing it yourself? I don't know
if I'd jump into that

Depending on how bad it is. I took a year of auto body and dealt with a lot of rust. On a friends dsm I had to make my own quarter panels for it. If it's not too bad you can just cut the rust out and patch it with some metal. Have a picture of it?

Oh, man, I don't mean to thread jack. I'll start my own thread once I take pictures -- if anything I could PM you too. Sorry Don.

Yeah, dude for 3k I could get a whole nother car, so I wasn't really looking to do that, right? Haha.
