Hippo Seats

Has anyone ridden in these?

They're expensive, but the bigger problem is that no vendor sells them (a few sell their kits, none sell seats)! Has anyone tried to buy direct from Hippo Sleek?

Thoughts?

That really wasn't what I asked at all, but I know what you mean. I'm not a drifter and I don't play one on TV, so racing seats aren't a priority. Non-broke-*** seats, on the other hand, would be nice.

Edit: I'm also not a racecar driver. No harnesses, no rollcage, no helmet.

Edit Edit: And "you'de?" Come on man, real words please.

i believe those are reupholstered (sp? lol) S14 seats. the same company (which isnt hipposleek btw, although hippo sleek may be associated with them) upholsters bucket seats and other oem seats in leather.

Uh, I'm pretty sure these are Hippo seats; the pics came from their site. And seeing as "who can I buy these from" wasn't the only question I asked, it might stand to reason that these EXACT seats aren't the only ones I considered. I'm not all about "ricing" seats and harnesses as I said; just looking for something a little less **** than stock. As for them being ugly, I guess one man's rice is another man's.... JDM?

oh by the way, in case you cant read japanese, these are seat covers. i just looked at the hipposleek site, so i thought i might share this bit of info with you. if you want some decent seats that are relatively civil, how about some evo 9 knockoffs?

I was starting to think maybe they were covers (cheaper than even the cup holders!), I guess the broke-*** factor (gangsta lean is mandatory in the driver's seat) would make these pretty worthless.

hahaha yay! its called a brain fart- and this quote is coming from the kid that is trying to find hippo-leather-knock-off-s14-seats that are cheaper than cupholders. -"anyone ridden in these" he asks. "this isn't the seat cover, and walmart shift **** thread" i reply.

Dude.... chill. Since you didn't tell me they were covers in either of your first two posts, I'm guessing that you, like everyone else, DIDN'T KNOW. We've also established that these are covers, so they aren't S14 in any way (they're COVERING S13 seats, genius). You did get one thing right, though, this isn't the seat cover thread (guessing you meant forum?). We don't have one of those. If you're going to act like an idiot, get used to being called out on it.
