Making my coupe to a convertible?

I've always thought it would be a fun project to make my 240 into a convertible. Yeah, I realize it would cost a lot of money and time to do all that extensive custom body work. It would be unique and different though. I saw a picture of a guy with a Kouki convertible. Not the greatest picture, but it kind of works to get you an idea. Except, I have a Zenki.

What you think?

I would try and photoshop my car without the roof on it, but I can not photochop if my life depended on it.

I just want a convertible because I live in Arizona. I don't want to buy another car just to have a convertible though.

imo, not worth your time, especially for a full functioning convertable cloth top... hardtop vert, maybe

I was gonna do a targa s13 with a rollcage myself, but then I was like screw it, because if I get in an accident... the car is gone... so I hear.

If done right I don't think it would be that bad. Personally I really wouldn't wanna drive one unless it was super reinforced and had a roll bar at least.

um... i dont think convertible would be the way to go... just make it an open-top car... IMO tryin to make a retractable top would be a pain in the ***.

I wouldn't convert your car to a vert it would just kill it and cost alot of money to do right. The only reason the other guy did was because a tree fell on his car and it was totaled, so he thought wtf, why not.

If I where you I would look for a s13 vert, would probably be less then you would spend trying to convert and you would have two working cars instead of one chopped up dangerous car.

If you want a convertable you buy one. You dont ruin a completely good chassis.

Why? Nobody takes care of the 240 Convertables. Unless of course, the person who owns the car is into the car and they KNOW what they have.

I would be spending the same amount of money just to fix the mistakes of the previous owner.
