GaH! That hood looks nothing like a stock JZA80 hood, and only really looks like an ABFlug hood. It resembles older Lancer or STI hoods as well.
Thank goodness you didn't get a carbon fiber hood; it's the most expensive way to make your car look cheap. It screams "I got this hood from a junkyard, and while I can afford other little things for my car, I don't have the cash to paint it". If you are looking for weight savings, a painted fiberglass hood is great. It's very rare that I see a car with a CF hood that actually looks tasteful. Carbon fiber is almost always accompanied by an excess of foglights, Altezza style lights, huge spoilers and huge weld-on mufflers that do nothing for performance.
These are 240SX's we're talking about here, people. These cars look sexy and turn heads when they are STOCK! Who needs that other crap?
Let's keep rear wheel drive safe from Altezza style lights.. unless you drive an Altezza, in which case you would be in Japan and I would ask "Why THIS crap instead of a S15?"

Some of that may be true..
However, a black hood on a white car looks cheap.
Also.. saves gas? What are you thinking by posting THAT load of BS? If you are going for weight savings for street or drag racing and you can afford a CF hood, I doubt you are worried about gas, even if you live in a place where you pay $2 per gallon. The gas savings are more than negated when you push the pedal to the floor.. not to mention that little bit of a weight savings would save you what.. a cup of gasoline per tank?

Maybe you should focus on the powerplant/the heart of the automobile before you start modifying the body. You call it a sleeper, and you are exactly right, my car doesnt look 1/3 as good as yours, but I would leave you at the starting line if we raced! Time to get the priorities straight guy! If you want to impress the girls go buy a new C6 corvette, if you want to have some style and a pair of ***** get a s14 with a sr20det.
