my LED retrofit

w00tness. I finished my 3rd brake light retro. When I can get my hands on some bigger PCB, I'll do my tails as well. Check it out!

i was wondering how hard it would be for you or spencer to put a ring of LEDs inside like ebay "euro lights", to look like the wise sports/besige tails? and how much you would charge.

Red/Orange superfluxes were used. You forget, I hang out on HIDPlanet.

I could do a writeup, but it wouldn't do you guys any good. 'Vert 3rd light is different from the others. Maybe the coupe is the same, never looked at it.

I could however build boards and what not for you guys to swap in yourselves. I got an assload of LED's left.

It woudln't be hard as far as I know to put a ring in there, depending on the method used. Personally, if I were to mod tails, I would retrofit the entire things with LED's, and throw out the incandescent. If someone wants to donate a set of eBay altezzas (like the ones below), I would gladly use them to make a first set, free of charge. Superflux LED's are NOT cheap lol. I just happened to get a decent deal on them.

you could also just take the led boards out of oem led taillights or use led truck/trailer boards. nissan, honda, and toyota have alot of models with led taillights these days.

How would that help me? Also, the eBay tails have to be cut apart with a band saw or dremel, they're plastic welded. And the coupe/vert tails are quite long, and so in order to work well, they need some very custom work.

well im just saying if other people are looking for premade/circuited led boards and don't want to have someone fab something up for them. Obviously you are fully capable of doing everything yourself.

Yes. I had them. I tinted the lights red and the center was black with the reverse lights still intact. In fact, I was the first person on Club240 to do so.

If I can get the ones with the middle clear, would you want that in amber LED's?
