Arrow My Project 240... Progress

Hello, well i have told many of you that i am going to paint my 240 flat black, and i have been real busy but i have been working on it, i have sanded the hood, bumper and fenders, as well as the rear bumper and trunk.

Bodywork wise i have popped a dent out (hammer style) and bondo'ed around and sanded to body lines, removed rear wing and put the new front bumper kinda on (only 2 screws holding it).

I am sanding it all down then going to start painting, the 240 will eventually be the color of the bumper, until then, it's quad-tone!

I also put pictures of my Xterra cause its being driven allot now that i'm working on the 240 ;D

Ill keep pictures posted as I progress

Sorry about the bad quality and the sun coming through on the fense. The bumper i am not sure of the brand because i bought it off PXRacing from here on the 240 boards so i am not sure. I like its simplicity and cheap price, i have to get surgery friday but i'm going to keep working on it and keep you all updated.

I had Tendonitis in my right shoulder, and it never got better and theres grit around the ball socket or whatever, nothing big they just go in and scrape it out.

But ya i'm looking forward to getting it all good, ill sand with my left and and do the rest of the body work with my left arm, then in lioke a week ill operate some paint, take it easy ;D

depends on how far you are taking the prep work... if you are just scuffing it for paint then you can use a green scotch brite pad... but sanding like this should start out with 120 then move to 200 until the panel is smooth... use a cross blocking patern to reveal any low spots... cross blocking looks like an x patern... use primer with a guide coat to help with the high and low spots... then thin skim coats of spot puddy to fill in where it is low...

Wow thanks for the critique, it cost me 80 dollars and my old one was broken, and i don't have allot of money to buy a 600 dollar bumper.
