Paint Job

Hey, i was wondering what you guys think of putting a 3-stage (chameleon) paint job on a 240sx fastback?
I'm trying to decide wether i want ferrari red or 3-stage.
If you have any pics of 240's with a flip flop paint job, please post them.

If you have no idea what I am takling about, it looks like this, but i'm not sure what color i'll do yet either:

Is your car stock? If yes then dont paint it.

and (in my opinion) those green/purple chameleon paint jobs suck! i hate it, theres a couple civics in my city who have that done and think they the man. the paintjob is old. if you are going to do it, then pick black/silver/white that looks hott and not too many people have it.

Dont listen to him, do what ever floats your boat. Just cause its stock doesnt mean you cant paint it. IMO go Ferrari red or something like that like in your other thread If you like that though, go ahead and do it. Thats a nice R34 by the way

Black or something dark... not really a big fan of those colors in a cameleon paint job... i think something like blue-black, red-orange a tone would be cool

Yeah Im not a big fan of the multi-colour paints. But I think simple colours like white, black, red, etc look the best.
Ferrari red would look pretty nice also.

I have to replace the passenger side door skin and then i'll be putting on the PDM Racing GPS 6-peice kit.
Then its time for paint. I don't like the green/purple either, but red/orange sounds tight!
Yeah, i'll be driving it stock for a while until i can afford to buy all the paint. (after my kit/skin)

And it wont cost me that much, I can prep it and my step-dad will spray it. He used to do custom BMW and Mercadees(sp).

Also, i don't like dark colors because they don't show the body lines ... like a black car, for instance
You can't really see the body lines too well in either of those cars.

I think the red/orange would look really sleek.

the black/white/silver my friend told me about and said that Dupli-Color sells a "kit" for it. When i wanted 2 paint something like that (my BMX bike) i just made it myself. with past experience in mixing colors and 3 layer paints and such, it was easy. Bike got sold a week after paintjob...
