Paint Jobs

Okay, So I'm redoing the paint on my 89' 240SX hatch. I was wondering if anyone knew what a professional would charge for a full body paint job?

Thanks.

If you wanted to save yourself hundreds of dollars and learn something at the same-time I highly recommend looking into some vocational schools around your area. I started taking a class about a year and a half ago, and for the low cost of $70.00 I get 15 weeks worth of shop time... You have access to all their tools, paint booth, you get discounted paint, primer, etc etc... And you also have a professional autobody tech right there helping you through the entire process... Since taking the class I have painted my Prelude, CRX and Del Sol (all which are being sold ) and have decided to further my education by going to some tech schools... Very enjoyable, and when you stand back after you've finished and look at the paint job that you have done it's worth a hell of a lot more if you ask me.... It's just a matter of whether you have the determination, effort and time to do such a thing. If you don't then expect to pay over $2,000 for a good paint job, unless you have some connections.

Well, most of the real high quality paintshops will charge you at least 2K for a full job. Depending on the body work it may be more. Finding the right shop for you is typically just a balance of how good is good enough for you.

Best wishes,
Matt

In body work, you pay for what you get. Don't be too cheap, or else your car could look it. Depends on if you're doing a full color change or just paint the exterior & door jams.
